Bless You

Helen has a new game she likes to play. She fake sneezes and then looks at you and waits for you to say "Bless You." Today after her afternoon nap (which wasn't a nap at all but 30 minutes of her crying off and on) I was reading her a book. About half way through the book she had a real sneeze and I said "bless you" Well, that started it. I would read about 5 words and she would fake sneeze and I would say "bless you" then she would want me to continue reading and I'd read 5 words and there was a fake sneeze. This when on until the end of the book. She thought it was hilarious. She was cracking up the whole time. And I have to admit it was pretty funny.

By the way, her fake sneeze doesn't sound like a sneeze at all but more like she's clearing her throat.

Finger Painting

Today Helen gave finger painting a try. She was unsure at first what was going on, but after I showed her she was supposed to rub her hands in it she had a ball. Amazingly most of the paint stayed on the paper, I figured it would be everywhere but the paper when we were finished but she surprised me.

Sand

Today Carson went to pick up Helen's new sand box. It is just perfect for her. She had the best time in it. She put sand in an empty formula can and dumped it out, crawled out and then back in of the sand box, and hated it when her feet were buried. We weren't able to stay out long today because we couldn't go out until after supper but tomorrow afternoon we are going to play as long as we can!

Gardening

Helen has really taken to the garden. I think she would like to sit in the middle of all the dirt but that is not allowed.

Sleeping

This evening I peeked in at Helen. This was a risky thing to do because if she woke up when I did she would not have gone back to sleep easily (I've made that mistake before). But I wanted to see her sleeping because she's so cute when she's sleeping. Not only was I able to peek in at her, but I was able to take this adorable picture of her sleeping.

Hi

So often when Helen is doing something cute I grab my camera to get a picture and she decides a close up is cuter than whatever it was she was doing.

Easter

Helen had a wonderful Easter. She woke up with a basket from the Easter Bunny. Her favorite thing in the basket was the grass. She was the cutest girl at church this morning. She did, however, at a quiet point in the service decide she was ready to leave and shouted out, "bye-bye!" She tried to eat Carson's communion bread (it's not the matzo, it's more like a pita, so I can't say that I blame her, it looks pretty good). We had a hard time getting her to look at the camera for a picture but we did the best we could.

Lovely Day

It was beautiful outside today. It got up to 83 degrees! Helen loves being outdoors so of course we took the opportunity to spend as much time as possible outside. She wore herself out this morning and took at 3 hour nap this afternoon! Getting dirty is one of her favorite things to do.
