Picking Carrots

Our carrots are ripe and ready to pick and eat. They are really quite good if you ask me. The other day Carson picked a couple and brought them in to wash up. He asked Helen if she would like to help and of course she did. He moved a chair over to the sink and she stood in it and washed her carrot for about 10 minutes. She would have kept washing it but it was time for supper.

Today Carson took her out to the garden to pick a carrot of her own. He loosened it slightly for her and she grabbed onto and pulled it right out of the ground.

As soon as it was in her hands she started walking towards the house because she wanted to wash it. Once we got inside she instantly went right to the kitchen chair and pointed at it and then pointed to the sink. She knew what she wanted. She did a good job washing it up but she mostly washed the green part.
